Sarah Champion MP
Co-Chair
Sarah Champion was elected as the Labour MP for Rotherham in 2012. She is currently Chair of the International Development Committee and has previously worked on the Women and Equalities Committee and served as Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities.
Before becoming a Member of Parliament, Sarah Champion worked as the Chief Executive of a children’s hospice.
Baroness Hussein-Ece
Co-Chair
Baroness Hussein-Ece was created a Liberal Democrat Life Peer in 2010. In the House of Lords, she has served as the Liberal Democrat Lords Spokesperson on Women and Equalities.
Before joining the House of Lords, Baroness Hussein-Ece had a long career in local government, working on issues including race equality, mental health and domestic violence.
Baroness Jenkin of Kennington
Vice-Chair
Baroness Jenkin has been a Conservative Life Peer since 2011. She has served on the Charities select committee and the Equality Act 2010 and Disability committee.
Baroness Jenkin co-founded Women2Win and the Conservative Friends of International Development. She was previously a trustee of UNICEF UK.
Apsana Begum MP
Vice-Chair
Apsana Begum has been the Labour MP for Poplar and Limehouse since 2019.
She has been an active campaigner for women's rights both in and out of Parliament and is also Chair of the APPG on Domestic Violence and Abuse and an Officer of the Black Maternal Health APPG.
